Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League with 50 points in 19 matches. Second placed Manchester City are 5 points behind, having played one more match. Unless something too dramatic happens, Arsenal will win the league title, many think.
However, just collecting 50 points in the first half of the league does not guarantee the title. Liverpool’s experience of the 2018-19 season speaks for itself.
So far, five teams have picked up 50 or more points in their first 19 games. Of these, the incident of Khey’s derailment in the last half of the match happened four years ago. But Mikel Arteta’s side are relieved to have taken 50 points three times to one to eventually win the title.
