Sohag – Ammar Abdel Wahed:
A driver was killed, today, Tuesday, when a microbus collided with him while crossing the road, in Akhmim, east of Sohag Governorate. The body was transferred to the hospital morgue, and the Public Prosecution office launched investigations.
Major General Mohamed Sherbash, Sohag Security Director, received a notification of a collision and the presence of a dead person in the Abboud Bridge district of Akhmim Police Station.
A sheriff and officers of the Akhmim police station and an ambulance moved to the scene. The investigations of Major Ahmed Khalafallah, the head of the center’s investigations, revealed that while a “microbus” taxi was driving, Kamal M., 52, a driver and residing in the center’s department, lost his hand and collided with the person called. Sameh D., 53 years old, a driver, resides in Akhmim district, which resulted in his death.
The driver of the aforementioned car stated that he was surprised by the aforementioned crossing the road in front of him and he was unable to avoid him, and upon the signature of the medical examination of the body by the health inspector, he stated that the cause of death was separate fractures in the body, which led to a sharp drop in blood and respiratory circulation and cardiac arrest.
A report was issued on the incident, and the Public Prosecution Office took over the investigations.
