District BNP Joint Secretary Hasibur Rahman said that he heard about Masud Rana’s disrespectful behavior with the teacher. The Central Committee of BNP has been informed. If instructions are received from there, organizational action will be taken against him.
Kurigram Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khan Md. Shahriar said that the complaint given by the teacher was registered in the form of a case yesterday. Police operation to arrest the accused including BNP leader Masud Rana is continuing.
Earlier on January 21, Awami League leader in Roumari upazila of Kurigram. Roknuzzaman Rokon (40) was accused of beating up a head teacher. The incident took place at Roumari CG Zaman High School. Later, the teacher was beaten. Nurunnabi (41) filed a case at the police station. Upazila Awami League has released Awami League leader Roknuzzaman Rokon, accused in this incident, from the party post.
