THE Microsoft served a summons on Sony Interactive Entertainmentas it tries to build its defense against the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) lawsuit.
According to the related court document, the Xbox maker wants Sony to disclose information it believes is relevant to its case, which may include confidential details that Sony would be reluctant to share with its rival if it would it was possible.
“Negotiations between SIE and Microsoft regarding the scope of SIE’s production and the timing of disclosures are ongoing,” the document says, citing (unspecified) information that has been requested.
After the one-week extension, Sony has until Jan. 27 to go even further, withdraw or respond to the subpoena.
