A statement issued by the Cairo Governorate said that Eng. Jihan Abdel Moneim, Deputy Governor of Cairo for the southern region, followed up all preparations and equipment to open more new fixed outlets, in coordination with the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Cairo, within the scope of the southern region’s neighborhoods, according to the instructions of the Major General, Governor of Cairo.
This comes as a continuation of the expansion of Citizen First exhibitions in the southern neighborhoods of Cairo Governorate to alleviate the burden of citizens, contribute to providing commodities and food products at reduced prices, prevent merchants from monopolizing foodstuffs, and addressing price hikes, in accordance with presidential directives.
According to the statement, an outlet is currently being equipped in the area of Al-Tebbin neighborhood at the entrance to Al-Wasat Street, the intersection of Corniche Street, to provide goods and products at economical prices, which are less than their counterparts in the markets within the Welcome Ramadan exhibitions, in sufficient time before the holy month to ensure the availability of all basic commodities that citizens need at reduced prices to combat commercial fraud. And prevent monopolizing or concealing food commodities and confronting high prices.
This outlet comes as a continuation of the efforts of the southern region of Cairo Governorate, headed by Eng. Jehan Abdel Moneim, Deputy Governor of Cairo for the southern region, to open the largest number of sales outlets to include the entire neighborhoods of the region, especially the areas most in need and with a high population density, to join the series of outlets that were opened in the region, including the Street 9 outlet and the outlet The reservoir is at the entrance to the city of Asmarat in Mokattam, the outlet of Al-Hurriya and Al-Arab Square in Maadi, and the outlet of the Great Mosque in Zahraa Al-Maadi in the Al-Basateen neighborhood, and preparations are underway to open an outlet on Al-Orouba Street in Al-Maasara Corniche, Al-Tebbin outlet and others.
The Deputy Governor of Cairo for the southern region emphasized the provision of all basic commodities and strategic products at competitive prices in the interest of the citizens and providing their needs through the efforts of the work team to continuously follow up on supplying the outlets with products on an ongoing basis and announcing their prices within the indicative price list with the aim of combating high prices and addressing the exploitation of some merchants.
