According to the information provided by the police and Rohingya leaders, at least 23 Rohingyas were killed in clashes and shootings by Arsa and Rohingya terrorist forces in multiple shelter camps in Ukhia in the three and a half months from October last year to January 23 this year. Among them, 11 are Rohingya sailors and five are members of Arsa. The rest are ordinary Rohingya.
According to Rohingya leaders and law enforcement sources, Arsa is being led by Arakan Solidarity Organization (RSO), another armed group of Myanmar independence fighters, and Nabi Hossain, the head of the Nabi group, one of the controllers of the supply of drugs (yaba and ice) from Myanmar to the refugee camps. This Prophet Hussain controlled 9 small groups. These are Master Munna, Md. Asad, Md. Zubair, Md. Hakim, Md. Jabu, Md. Islam, Md. Mumin, Md. Zakir and Shafiullah Bahini. Members of the groups are believed to have put up posters demanding the arrest of 28 members, including Arsa chief commander Ataullah Abu Ammar Jununi, in several shelters.
