The High Court has given a ruling on why a national inquiry commission should not be ordered to reveal the names of those behind the brutal killing of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The High Court bench comprising of Justice KM Kamrul Quader and Justice Mohammad Ali gave this ruling on the preliminary hearing of a writ today. Supreme Court lawyer Subir Nandi Das filed the writ in October 2021 seeking directions to form a commission to determine the responsibility-failure, context-planning, conspirators and beneficiaries of the murder of Bangabandhu’s family. Thereafter the writ petitioner filed supplementary affidavit.
