Nazmul Hossain said in the meeting, ‘We do not have any candidate in the by-election. A five-time member of parliament from this area, lawyer Abdus Sattar, has become an independent candidate for the sake of democracy. According to the party instructions now everyone has to work for him. The message should be conveyed to the people at all levels that there will be fair and impartial elections. Everyone should come to the center.’
The by-election of Brahmanbaria-2 constituencies will be held on February 1. Four people including Abdus Sattar are competing in it.
