Ramallah – (DPA):
Last night and Monday morning, the Israeli forces arrested 17 Palestinian citizens from the cities of the West Bank.
The Palestinian News and Information Agency (Wafa) reported today that the arrests included four from Ramallah, three from Hebron, three from Bethlehem, and seven from Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm and Jericho.
And the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem reported that dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under strict protection from the Israeli police.
The Endowments Department said, “Jewish extremists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern area of the mosque.”
And according to the Palestinian Press Agency (Safa) today, “the occupation police have deployed since morning their special units in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa, and at its gates, to secure protection for settlers’ incursions, amid strict restrictions imposed on the entry of Palestinians to the mosque.”
