Dr. Reda Hijazi, Minister of Education and Technical Education, said that the ministry has provided tablets for all high school students, in addition to that the ministry has made available an electronic platform to apply for exams, as an electronic system has been prepared and developed to manage the work of the system and monitoring committees for high school, and linked them to the central database. .
The minister added, centers for correcting high school exam papers were equipped electronically – without human intervention – and exam results were announced electronically on the ministry’s website.
Yesterday, Dr. Reda Hegazy participated in the opening ceremony of the UK Edtech exhibition, which focuses mainly on digital education and school technology, and represents an appropriate environment for exchanging experiences in this field, and also contributes to spreading the culture of using modern technology in the field of education.
The minister said: “The revolutions in technology, computer science, programming, and rapid developments in this field have called for improving the abilities of our students to find innovative solutions to the problems surrounding them, through the use of the technology of the fourth industrial revolution, and preparation for the fifth industrial revolution, pointing out that in this context, I have adopted The Ministry has a strategy in using technology in education in schools, and has taken clear steps in it, and made tangible efforts, in implementing this strategy.
The minister explained that among these efforts is the official website of the ministry, which includes a group of educational platforms, including the e-learning platform, a platform for live broadcasting of virtual classes, in addition to the Ministry of Education’s YouTube channel, our school channels 1, 2, and 3, the Egypt Classes platform, and the mobile application (Our School). Plus).
