Aswan – Ehab Omran:
The Governor of Aswan, Major General Ashraf Attia, met today, Monday, Dr. Ahmed El Sobky, Assistant Minister of Health and Head of the General Authority for Health Care, as part of preparations to launch the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorate, scheduled for next March.
The meeting dealt with the ongoing preparations to start implementing the new system, which is scheduled to benefit more than 1.6 million people at the level of centers, cities and villages in the governorate.
The governor of Aswan said that all necessary facilities and support were provided to expedite the implementation of the system, in light of the efforts made by the Ministry of Health to finish finishing and equipping 11 hospitals, 112 medical centers and a family medicine unit in the governorate, pointing out that, in parallel, coordination is underway to determine a location for establishing a branch of the General Authority for Health Care. In a way that contributes to providing the necessary environment for supervision, management and follow-up of the new system.
