Mahmoud Al-Qayati, a member of the media center of the General Meteorological Authority, said that the weather until the end of the week is witnessing stability in most areas, and the temperature continues to rise gradually.
Al-Qayati added, in statements to Masrawy, that January is one of the coldest months of the year, but during the current period, temperatures rise above normal rates as a result of the air rise in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
And he continued: “The temperature in Cairo during this period is 21 degrees, but we expect another rise next Thursday to be 23 degrees, and the temperature in the southern regions reaches 27 degrees.”
He stressed that the temperature during the night periods drops dramatically and the weather is cold and then very cold, as the temperature in Cairo is 11 degrees, and 6 degrees in the north of Upper Egypt, while it reaches 3 on the heights of St. Catherine.
He pointed out that one of the most prominent weather phenomena during the current period is the water mist, which forms in the early morning and fades with the appearance of the sun’s rays.
A member of the media center at the Meteorological Authority warned against loosening clothes during this period, especially during daytime hours when temperatures rise.
