Konabari Highway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Atiqul Islam said, after receiving the news, Kaliakor Municipality Mayor Mojibur Rahman, Kaliakor Police Station OC Akbar Ali Khan and factory officials discussed with the workers. Later, as per the demands of the workers, the family of the deceased was promised a compensation of Rs. Later the workers accepted this decision and called off the blockade.
According to the highway police, the angry workers set the truck on fire. Later the fire was extinguished by the efforts of local people. The truck involved in the accident has been impounded.
