An event from an era ago. Rita Kimball found a dog at the grocery store. The hair on the back is raised. Blood stains from rubbing the chain or rope around the neck. The dog looked very thin. The store employee said the dog had been there for three days. He has been lied to. The store is located in Camden, Ohio, USA. After shopping, Rita and her family returned to the parking lot. Then he saw that the dog was also following them. Rita did not know who owned the dog. He decided to shelter the animal in his small farm.
A lot has happened since then. The dog of the Chihuahua breed got its name from the shelter. He was named ‘Spike’ after the big dog from the popular cartoon series ‘Tom and Jerry’. But who knew, if not in size, then in age, Spike would one day write his name in the record books.
