Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Taiani affirmed the depth of the cooperation relations between the two countries in many fields.
This came during the joint press conference held by the two ministers at the conclusion of their talks in Cairo.
At the beginning of the conference, Shoukry welcomed his Italian counterpart, who is currently on his first visit to Cairo since assuming his duties.
The foreign minister said that the meeting held between President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and the Italian Prime Minister in Sharm El-Sheikh on the sidelines of the COP27 climate conference, in addition to a number of mutual visits, all indicate a political desire of the two countries for a new phase of relations and work to strengthen these relations on the ground of long-established relations between the two countries and peoples. and their belonging to the medium.
Shoukry added that the Italian minister had the honor today to meet with President El-Sisi, where they reviewed bilateral relations and regional and international issues of common concern.
