Books – Mahmoud Mustafa Abu Talib:
Dr. Abbas Shoman, the supervisor of fatwas at Al-Azhar, said that burning the Qur’an in Sweden does not harm the Holy Qur’an, but it harms those who claim civilization and sophistication, as it represents the pinnacle of barbarism and racism.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemned and denounced the burning of the Holy Qur’an by a group of terrorists affiliated with the Swedish far-right, in a repeated scene indicating the complicity of the Swedish authorities with these criminals in an attempt to repeatedly and deliberately offend Islamic sanctities and provoke Muslims around the world.
In a statement, Al-Azhar reaffirmed that these criminal acts of savages will not undermine the sanctity of the Holy Qur’an in the heart of a civilized person, and it will remain in its perch a guiding book for all humanity, guiding it to the values of goodness, truth and beauty, whose sanctity is not undermined by the grudges of the misguided criminals. Not the actions of the promoters of intolerance, hatred and sick souls, who have black records in the history of fanaticism, hatred and wars of religions.
Al-Azhar called on the human community, international institutions and world leaders to stand up to attempts to tamper with religious sanctities, condemn these criminal acts, put an end to the chaos of the term “freedom of expression” and its exploitation in the politics and elections market, and its misuse with regard to provocation of Muslims and respect for their sanctities, and to open an urgent investigation into the repetition of These incidents, which are no less dangerous than the consequences of terrorist attacks, stressing that allowing these criminals to repeat these provocations under the slogan of “freedom of expression” – albeit with silence -; It is an outcast collusion that hinders efforts to promote peace, interfaith dialogue, and communication between East and West, and between the Islamic world and the Western world.
