A source in the local unit of the center and city of Youssef Al-Siddiq in Fayoum governorate revealed that a new cemetery for donkeys was found containing more than a thousand donkey skeletons that were slaughtered and their skins obtained.
The security services at the Youssef Al-Siddiq Center are intensifying their efforts to uncover the circumstances of the incident, and the reason behind the presence of donkey skeletons that were found dumped in the Wadi El-Rayyan desert, south of Fayoum.
A number of the residents of the village of Al-Rayyan found a cemetery for donkeys near the mountainous area adjacent to the waterfalls of Wadi Al-Rayyan, consisting of skeletons of donkeys that had been slaughtered and their skins obtained.
A source in the Youssef Al-Siddiq Center confirmed that the skeletons that were found lying near the first lake of Wadi El-Rayyan Falls belonged to donkeys that had been slaughtered recently, and that they had their skins removed.
The head of the Yusuf al-Siddiq Center and City decided to form a committee of veterinary medical devices and the Yusuf al-Siddiq Center to find out the truth about what happened, and to bury these structures in a safe place.
