The Alexandria Criminal Court sentenced a driver to 5 years in prison, convicted of trafficking in narcotic substances, fined him 50 thousand pounds, confiscated the substance of hashish and a white weapon that was seized with him, and obligated him to pay criminal expenses.
The ruling was issued under the chairmanship of Counselor Jamal Juma Qutb Aqrab, President of the Court, and the membership of Counselor Ayman Mustafa Al-Sahn, Counselor Jalal Fathi Ahmed Ammar, and Criminal Secretary Saeed Abdel-Azim.
The events of Case No. 28046 of 2022 felonies of the Montazah First Police Station, when the security services of the Alexandria Security Directorate received a notification from the officers of the department stating that the accused had been arrested and in possession of a quantity of cannabis.
The information of the investigation officers of the Montazah Police Department was the first to traffic the accused, “M.M.H,” a driver, in narcotic substances, while secret investigations confirmed the validity of the information about the accused’s activity.
After obtaining a permit from the Public Prosecution, the investigations officers arrested the accused, and he was in possession of 4 large pieces of hashish, a sum of money, a mobile phone, and a knife (knife).
Confronting him, he admitted to possessing narcotics for trafficking, sums of money from the sale proceeds, a mobile phone to contact his clients, and a white weapon to defend himself and his sinful trade.
The necessary record of the incident was drawn up, and by presenting the accused to the Public Prosecution, it decided to refer him to the Alexandria Criminal Court, which issued its aforementioned ruling.
