The government has announced to build ‘Smart Bangladesh’. Various projects will be undertaken for this purpose. The Department of Information and Communication Technology has sought the assistance of the World Bank for the implementation of these projects.
On the occasion of 50 years of World Bank’s relationship with Bangladesh, a program was organized in the Information Technology Department on Sunday. World Bank Managing Director (Operations) Axel Van Trotsenberg, who arrived in Bangladesh on a three-day visit on Saturday, was present at the event. That’s where the help is sought.
Digital Bangladesh and Smart Bangladesh were discussed in the program. At that time, the State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed said that the government is going to take more than 40 projects in the light of smart citizen, smart government, smart economy and smart society to implement ‘Smart Bangladesh: ICT 2041 Master Plan’.
