The Ministry of Education and Technical Education has opened the door for transferring high school students 2023 from science to sports science and vice versa, no later than February 23, 2023.
And the Ministry of Education announced that it is not allowed to transfer from literary to scientific and vice versa, for high school students 2023, and the reason for this is that the students took the exam in the second year of secondary school in its division.
The Ministry stressed that the 2023 high school student is not allowed to change the subject of the second foreign language in which he took the exam in the first and second grades of high school.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education had announced the exam system and the number of times to apply for the general secondary school completion certificate exam (four years) in accordance with Law No. (20) of 2012 and Ministerial Resolution No. (88) of 2013.
First: For regular students:
They have the right to take the exam for two years from within the school as regular students and two years from outside the school as home students.
Second: For home students:
They have the right to take the exam four years.
The Ministry of Education confirmed that a student who fails is not entitled to take the exam except in cases where he failed or was absent from it only.
First: the first round exam
A student who has completed the study of the subjects prescribed in the third year of secondary school for the academic year 2022/2023 is allowed to take the exam in all the subjects prescribed for him in its two divisions (scientific and literary), and the actual grades he obtained in the exam for those subjects are counted.
A student who failed or was absent in more than two subjects is considered to have failed and is not allowed to take the exam for these subjects in the second round, and he must submit a new form in the following year, if he has not exhausted the number of times allowed by law to take the exam, and that is in the subjects in which he failed or was absent. The actual grade he obtains in those subjects is calculated for him, while he retains the grades he obtained in the subjects he previously succeeded in.
Second: the second round exam
A student who failed or was absent in one or two subjects at most (whether from within or outside the total) has the right to take the second round exam, and no more than 50% of the major end determined in the subject or two subjects is counted, while keeping the grades he obtained. In the subjects he succeeded in the first round.
