The District Commissioner of Netrakona has proposed to fill the vacant posts of officers and employees in the district primary and upazila primary education office. In favor of this proposal, it has been said that the sanctioned number of posts of Assistant Upazila Education Officer in Netrakona district is 46, out of which 25 posts are vacant. The number of sanctioned posts of employees is 58, out of which 27 posts are vacant. The vacancy situation in Netrakona district has been similar for the last 10 years. As a result, school visits and various official activities are being disrupted.
The Deputy Commissioner of Lalmonirhat has proposed to create a new post of Assistant Upazila Education Officer and fill up the vacant posts. He argues that the nationalization of private primary schools has led to an increase in the number of government primary schools. Many posts of Assistant Upazila Education Officer are vacant in various upazilas.
