This is the last DC conference before the next national elections. In this conference, from the head of government to the ministers and secretaries of the government directly present and talk to the DCs and give various directions. However, in today’s press conference, the Cabinet Secretary said that this may not be the last DC conference before the next national elections. Because, there are precedents of DC conference more than once.
It was informed in the press conference that the DCs have given 245 proposals for discussion about various ministries and departments in this conference. Among these, some issues like development of law and order situation, health, land management and education will be more important in this conference.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the three-day conference at the Prime Minister’s Office on January 24. After the inauguration, the DCs will participate in an open discussion with the Prime Minister. The DCs will directly present various issues to the Prime Minister. After the ceremony at the Prime Minister’s office, a ministry and departmental work session will be held at the capital’s Osmani Smriti Auditorium.
