Today, Saturday, the Third Chamber of Terrorism, held in Tora, postponed the retrial of 19 defendants sentenced in absentia to life and aggravated imprisonment in the Warraq Island riot case, to the April 26 session.
The session was held under the chairmanship of the advisor, Wajdi Muhammad Abdel Moneim, and the membership of the advisors was Wael Muhammad Omran and Hossam El Din Fathi Amin.
The Public Prosecution charged the defendants with the fact that on July 16, 2017, they participated with unknown persons in a gathering of more than five people that would endanger public peace. They sought to influence public authorities with force and violence, and carried knives and stones.
The prosecution attributed to them that they used force and violence with public officials, assaulted a number of policemen, possessed unloaded firearms and ammunition, and inflicted injuries on the victims described in the medical reports.
