Saeed Saleh, advisor to the Minister of Agriculture for follow-up and general coordinator of affiliated outlets, said that the ministry’s outlets offer basic consumer goods to citizens at lower prices than markets.
Saleh added, in a special statement to “Masrawy”, that the goods are produced by the farms affiliated with the ministry and are sold in outlets without intermediate links, pointing out that local meat is sold at 155 pounds per kilo, lamb at 145 pounds, local rice at 12 pounds, broad bean at 15 pounds per kilo, and lentils at 16 pounds. And white chicken for 55 pounds, and dairy for 110 pounds.
He continued, “The supply of vegetables, fish, basic commodities, fillets, healthy poultry, cheese, buffalo milk, virgin olive oil, sugar, pasta, rice, sauce, oil, Kanduz meat, Kanduz liver, herring, ghee, honey and jams has increased.”
He pointed out that “a red egg dish costs 87 pounds, white 79, and white chicken costs 48 pounds per kilo, in addition to offers on vegetables, sugar and dairy products,” stressing that the ministry continues to play a positive role and create a state of balance within the markets to lift the burden on citizens. .
He pointed out that all fixed outlets amount to 409 outlets spread in the headquarters of the Directorates of Agriculture, Agrarian Reform and Veterinary Medicine in the governorates, in addition to 30 mobile outlets that roam the governorates and are spread in crowded main streets and public squares, adding: “Quantities of commodities and food products are pumped daily according to the initiative of the best of our farms.”
