Kuwaiti Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, affirmed keenness to keep pace with the great development in the field of medical technology and to hold conferences to exchange and acquire experiences with the aim of improving medical services according to the required quality.
The Kuwaiti Minister of Health said – at the opening of the 18th Kuwaiti Conference of Surgeons and the 7th Forum of the General Surgery Association this evening / Saturday /, with the participation of experts from America and Europe – that the 3-day conference is considered one of the important conferences that deals with and highlights medical topics such as general surgery, abdominal wall surgeries and metabolism. Obesity, colon, tissue tumors, and serious injuries, and it acquires special importance through the competencies involved in it.
For his part, Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy to Kuwait, Jim Holtznyder, stressed the partnership and cooperation between the Kuwaiti and American health sectors, as well as the economic cooperation between American companies that manufacture medical devices and tools with the Kuwaiti side, pointing to the continuation of that cooperation in the field of training between American agencies with experience and reputation. International and among all Kuwaiti medical sectors, especially the community of surgeons in Kuwait.
For his part, the President of the Conference and the President of the Kuwaiti Association of Surgeons, Dr. Musa Khorshid, said that the conference, whose first sessions were launched in 2002, is working to put Kuwait on the global map by presenting many specialized lectures and scientific research that were conducted in Kuwait and benefiting from international expertise in this field.
