Books – Islam Lutfi:
Abdel Halim Allam, Head of the Bar Association, President of the Arab Lawyers Union, issued a decision naming the members of the committee formed to defend Matrouh lawyers.
The decision stipulated: Based on the mandate issued by the joint meeting between the General Bar Council and the subsidiary trade unions, it was decided to form a committee to defend Matrouh’s lawyer in the resumed misdemeanor session set for tomorrow, Sunday.
The defense committee consists of:
1- Majdi Sakhi, representative of the General Syndicate.
2- Nabil Abdel Salam, member of the Council.
3- Muhammad Karkab, Member of the Council.
4- Fatima Al-Zahraa, member of the Council.
5- Hassan Amin, Captain of South Cairo.
6- Magdy Hafez, captain of Qalyubia.
7- Muhammad Khalil, captain of Tanta.
8- Adel Al-Abd, captain of Marsa Matruh.
9- Ahmed Gomaa, lawyer in cassation.
10- Maher Naim, lawyer in cassation.
In addition to the previous names, the Council of the Matrouh Bar, and all lawyers who wish to join it, under the chairmanship of Abdel Halim Allam, the Captain General.
And the Bar Council decided to suspend work and attendance before criminal courts and Public Prosecution investigations throughout the Republic, starting yesterday, Thursday, January 19, for an indefinite period, in response to the issuance of the Matrouh Misdemeanor Court of the First Circuit, sentencing 6 Matrouh lawyers to two years in prison with work and two years. Monitoring, in the case known in the media as “Matruh Lawyers and Matruh Court Employees.”
