According to the research report, last year the annual average price inflation in the capital Dhaka was 11.08 percent. However, non-food inflation was much higher than food inflation in Dhaka. At that time, the highest inflation rate was 12.32 percent in the non-food sector. And in food products it was 10.03 percent.

Still four crore people are living below the poverty line in the country. Income inequality is increasing day by day. In such a situation, inflation has become a nightmare for the common man.
