The accused in the case are Ravi Mia’s son Babul Mia (19), Alam Mia (45), Alam’s son Rishad Mia (18) and Salam Mia’s son Parvez Mia (18) of Muzrai Madhyapara of Ramadi Union.
According to the family of the deceased and the source of the case, Hasina Begum is an assistant teacher of Bir Kashim Nagar Fedullah High School of Kuliarchar Upazila and a neighbor of Abu Bakr. Hasina Begum has been ill for several days. Last Tuesday some students of Hasina Begum came home to see her. On the way back from there Babul, Rishad, Parvez and some other youth stopped the students and said various offensive things. The youth harassed them by questioning why the students had come to this village and whether they had any relationship or not. In this way, the youth blocked their way for a long time.
Later those students told the incident to Hasina Begum. Two days after the incident, Hasina told the matter to the neighbor Abu Bakr’s wife Anisha on Thursday. On that day, Anisha went to the home of the accused youths and complained to their parents and sought redressal of the matter.
