The customs of Burj Al Arab International Airport seized an attempt to smuggle a number of mobile phones, which an Egyptian passenger hid on her body upon her arrival from Dubai, in order to mislead customs men, cross them, sell them, and achieve material gains, and they were seized and legal measures were taken with her.
During the completion of procedures for passengers coming from Dubai on the “Fly Dubai” plane, Khaled Abdel Aziz, head of the shift, suspected an Egyptian female passenger due to her frequent travel and frequencies. Mustafa Al-Arabi, Director General of the Air Ports, decided to take legal measures and issue a customs seizure report, in implementation of the instructions of Shahat Ghaturi, Head of the Customs Authority, to tighten control over airports and customs outlets and thwart all attempts of customs evasion.
