HBO has released the first images from the second episode of the series The Last of Uswhich is expected to premiere in the early hours of Monday, January 23, 2023. It’s titled “Infected,” and will pick up where the first episode left off, with Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Tess (Anna Torv) to have agreed to transfer Ellie (Bella Ramsey) to the Fireflies.

The premiere of the first episode is described as highly successful. It was watched by 4.7 million viewers in the USA. which is a decade-long record for HBO. The very next day, their number increased to 10 million.
