Every citizen shall also have the right to inherit property according to his religion. The Holy Qur’an describes, ‘For men there is a fixed portion, that which is left by their parents and relatives; For women too there is a prescribed portion, that which is left by their parents and near relatives, be it small or large; The due portion is specific.’ (Sura-4 Nisa, verse: 7)
Acquiring wealth by wrongful and illegal means is a serious crime. Acquiring wealth through theft, robbery, fraud, brokering, usury, bribery, corruption, drug dealing, smuggling etc. is strictly prohibited and haram in Islam. Halal and honest earnings are the main conditions for acceptance of worship.
