Sohanur Rahman, coordinator of Youthnet for Climate Justice, said in the gathering, ‘Climate crisis has become a big disaster for our country and the world.
Ending the country’s dependence on fossil fuels and encouraging the use of renewable energy for the future is essential to overcome the climate crisis. Apart from this, it is necessary to ensure compensation from the polluting countries. This world is ours. So it is our responsibility to protect this world.’
At that time, Director of International Center for Climate Change and Development Salimul Haque said, ‘It is clear that the polluting countries are facing the loss of life and resources of the world due to man-made climate change. Both governments and fossil fuel companies are responsible and must be held accountable.
It’s time to confront the real culprits behind the climate crisis, the fossil fuel companies. They have deliberately caused harm for profit and are influencing the politicians of the polluting countries, who are blocking the progress of related actions and actions.’
