According to U.S. prosecutors, Asaker has been the head of Mohammed bin Salman’s private office since before he became Saudi crown prince. Counsels in the US court alleged that Asaker was active in stealing the confidential information of Twitter users to protect the interests of the Saudi government. For this, he promised gifts, money, and even future jobs to Abuammo and Alzabarah. Apart from this, this Saudi official also deposited 300,000 dollars in a bank account opened in the name of Abuammo’s father in Lebanon.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Colin Sampson said Asaka wanted to hire a spy. After receiving a watch from him as a gift, Abuammo began investigating an anonymous Twitter account critical of the Saudi regime.
Meanwhile, the complaint filed in 2020 states that Asaker met Aljabarah and Almutairi on May 14, 2015. At that time, Asakar and Prince Salman were staying in Washington as members of a Saudi government delegation.
