Tunisian authorities quickly removed a picture of President Kais Saied that was hung on top of a mosque minaret in the city of Sidi Ali Bouaoun, in the state of Sidi Bouzid, during a cultural festival.
And the authorities, by order of Qais Saeed, removed the image after its comment by the festival supervisors and supporters of Qais Saeed, a great controversy in Tunisia, due to the lack of respect for the sanctity of the mosque, and the exploitation of the mosque for political propaganda.
A statement from the state of Sidi Bouzid stated that President Kais Saied had authorized the local authorities to remove the image, and confirmed his “refusal to personalize power.”
