Data from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) shows that food prices around the world fell by 8.6% in July 2022, compared to last June.
The price of vegetable oils is the one that fell the most during the last month by 19.2%, as well as cereals which fell by 11.5%, and sugar by 3.8%.
The FAO had released a report on the price indices of five key commodity groups that are included in the World Food Price Index, which showed that food prices around the world fell 8.6% in July last.
