Ruhin Hossain has demanded compensation for the affected farmers. In this regard, he said, food aid, rehabilitation, cash assistance and all kinds of loan installments to the farmers of Banavasi should be suspended and interest should be waived.
CPB central committee member Manabendra Dev, youth union central committee general secretary Khan Asaduzzaman Masum, central committee member Niranjan Das alias Khokon, CPB Sunamganj district committee general secretary Jalal Sumon, former district CPB president Chittaranjan Talukder among others spoke on the occasion. Earlier, they distributed relief items among flood-hit people in different villages of Sadar upazila.
