Books – Ali Al-Bahaji:
Essam Abdel-Fattah, head of the referees committee in the Egyptian Football Association, confirmed that there is no discontent against the Egyptian arbitration as some promote, pointing out that the talk about errors in the league is incorrect.
Abdel-Fattah said in statements to Ontime Sports 2: “The referee reached the World Cup and the team did not. We have mistakes like all people. How many times did the team reach the World Cup? We want to talk objectively.”
He added: “I am not talking about supporting arbitration. Arbitration is with Rabin, after the Egyptian referee, Mohamed Adel, who ran the last summit, was praised. They then went out and criticized him for the word containment, even though the word is in the law.”
He continued, “Mohamed Adel is one of the 3 best Egyptian referees who managed the summit match, and containment is in the football law, and arbitration will prefer the weakest link in Egyptian football.”
He continued: “I have to divorce three times, what I said to the rulers, if Syed Abdul Hafeez rose from the bench, they would expel him. The referee plays his role and no one interferes in his work.”
And he concluded his statements: “If I force a referee to do something wrong, I will remain a disrespectful person, he will judge by what he sees, and I cannot interfere in the work of the smallest referee in Egypt, as long as our rulers are subjected to the pressures of our life, we will not succeed.”
