Nour El-Sherbiny, ranked second in the world, won the Women’s Singles World Squash Championship for the sixth time in its history, after defeating Nouran Gohar, ranked No. 1 in the world.
This title is the fourth in a row for Nour El-Sherbiny and the sixth in the history of her participation in the Women’s World Squash Championship.
Nour El-Sherbiny, ranked No. 2 in the world, separates two titles from the equation of Malaysian legend Nicole David, who has 8 titles.
This final is the eighth for Nour El-Sherbiny in her career in the world championship, and it is the seventh final for her in a row during her participation in the World Squash Championship, where she has not missed the final of the world championship since 2015 until now.
Nour El-Sherbiny defeated Nouran Gohar in the women’s singles squash championship, 3-1, in the match held between them, held at the Museum of Civilizations in Egypt, in a match that lasted for 56 minutes.
Nouran Gohar, ranked No. 1 in the world, beat her colleague Nour El-Sherbiny in the first half, 11-7.
But the world champion El-Sherbiny returned to the match and won the second set by a score of 11-7, before winning the third and fourth sets with results of 11-8 and 11-7, to crown the championship.
