Ashish Kumar Mandal, deputy director of Satkhira district youth development department, said he would take initiative to solve the problem by collecting the names and addresses of those who have kept sand in front of his office.
Mir Nizamuddin, executive engineer of Satkhira Roads and Highways Department, admitted that accidents were taking place as a result of placing sand on the road and the environment was being ruined. He advised the victims to lodge a complaint with the police station.
Satkhira Sadar police officer in charge said. Golam Kabir said he would investigate the matter and take immediate action.
