Ihab Galal, coach of the Egyptian national team, announced the provisional list of professionals in preparation for the matches between Egypt against Guinea and Ethiopia, in the qualifiers for the Nations Cup and qualifying for the 2023 edition in Cote d’Ivoire.
Egypt is scheduled to face its Guinean counterpart on the fifth of next month, before facing Ethiopia on the ninth of the same month.
The Egyptian national team will start its camp on May 30, with the joining of all local players, except for Al-Ahly players, who will join on May 31, due to their participation in the African Champions League final on the 30th.
Some professionals are scheduled to join on the first of next June, as the technical staff began addressing the clubs of professional players according to the list.
After the absence of Ahmed Hegazy’s name from the list announced by the Football Association at the beginning, the technical staff of the Egyptian team decided to call the defender of the Saudi Jeddah Federation among the list of professional players.
The technical and medical staff of the national team made sure that Ahmed Hegazy fully recovered from the injury he sustained in the last African Nations Championship in Cameroon, to be ready to participate in the upcoming matches.
The list of professionals witnessed the summoning of Ahmed Hassan Koca, Ahmed Hamdi, Sam Morsi and Karim Hafez, while Mahmoud Kahraba, the Turkish wing of Hatay Sport, was absent.
The list includes 12 professionals as follows:
Mohamed Salah – Liverpool, England.
Mohamed Elneny – Arsenal.
Ahmed Hegazy – Saudi Jeddah Federation.
Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet – the famous Turkish Basaksehir.
Omar Marmoush – Stuttgart, Germany.
Mustafa Muhammed – Galatasaray Al-Turki.
Ahmed Hassan Koca – Konyaspor, Turkey.
Mustafa Fathi – Saudi Cooperation.
Ahmed Hamdy – American Montreal.
Sam Morsy – Ipswich Town, England.
Ahmed Yasir Rayan – Turkish Altayspor.
Karim Hafez – Malatyaspor, Turkey.
