As the day progressed, the passenger pressure in Sadarghat of the capital started increasing. In addition to regular launches on each waterway, the launch owners are operating special services.
A total of 51 launches left Sadarghat for various destinations from 8 am to 3 pm on Friday.
Despite the pressure of passengers from this morning, the crowd started to increase from noon onwards. The launches are being miked repeatedly from the BIWTA control room so that they do not carry extra passengers. The naval police is warning Mike to keep the journey of the passengers and those concerned uninterrupted. Members of the fire service are on duty at Sadarghat to prevent any kind of accident. However, members of the law enforcement agencies, including the BIWTA and the naval police, are struggling to control the crowd.
