South Korean media reported that the country plans to develop a new batch of Earth remote sensing satellites.
And the media quoted military sources, with information indicating that “the South Korean Defense Ministry will spend about 2.3 billion dollars to develop and launch 12 new satellites for Earth reconnaissance.”
According to the media,South Korea Currently planning to develop 5 satellite It also plans to develop 12 other reconnaissance satellites that will replace the five mentioned satellites at the end of their service life, and the second batch of satellites is supposed to be launched as of 2029.”

The military sources indicated to the media that “by expanding its space program, South Korea is seeking to improve its intelligence capabilities to counter the development of the missile and nuclear program of its neighbor, North Korea.”
