The Director General of the Russian Space Corporation “Roskosmos”, Dmitry Rogozin, announced that the “Angara – .2” light rocket will be launched soon from the “Plesetsk” space airport.
He added that this year will also witness the launch of the heavy “Angara-A5” space rocket.
This came during his visit to Yaroslavsky Radio Zavod Company in Yaroslavl. He said that the Angara missile will be launched from the Plesetsk military cosmodrome, recalling that the missile itself will open the tests of the second platform at the civilian “Vostochny” cosmodrome.
It is worth noting that the “Angara – 1.2BB” light missile was previously launched in July 2014 from the “Plesetsk” airport.
It is noteworthy that, “Angara” is a family of Russian space rockets that include light, medium, heavy and ultra-heavy rockets, and it is produced by the “Poliot” company, as a subsidiary of “Ros Cosmos”.
