During the last 24 hours, members of the Protection of Persons in a Vulnerable Situation Squad of the Judicial Police in the state of M’sila managed to arrest a person who had detained and tortured a girl and her mother, according to what was reported today, Wednesday, by the Communication and Information Cell of this security force.
According to the same source, the facts of the case began after receiving a complaint submitted by the victim to the authority that she and her minor daughter were subjected to detention and torture by beating and wounding with a white weapon (knife) and ironing with fire using a sharp instrument (eating fork) by the suspect at the level of his residence. Located in one of the neighborhoods of the city of M’sila.
He added that an investigation was immediately opened into the case and field investigations were launched that enabled the arrest of the perpetrator, to be taken to the headquarters and the completion of a judicial file against him.
The same source indicated that the suspect had been brought before the competent judicial authorities in the region to issue a deposit order against him at the Re-education Institution in Msila for the charge of “the felony of practicing torture and the felony of detaining a person whose victim was the child and her mother.”
