The ministry called, in its press release, to release the Zakat El-Fitr from the 15th day of Ramadan, specifying that its amount is fixed this year at 120 Da, that is to say one “Saâ” (a measure of 2 kg) of food of the Algerians.
The ministry has instructed the imams of the mosques to proceed, in collaboration with the committees of the mosques throughout the national territory, to the collection of Zakat El-Fitr from the 15th day of the month of Ramadhane for its redistribution. to the needy, one or two days before Eid Al-Fitr”.
“Zakat El-Fitr is obligatory for every Muslim, whether wealthy or poor, who has a surplus of daily subsistence which he must take out for himself and for his dependents,” the ministry said.
