UNO Upma Farisa of Sarishabari said that all the furniture and important files of the office room were burnt in the fire. Details of how the fire started will be known subject to investigation.
Jamalpur Deputy Commissioner Murshida Zaman said a committee would be formed to investigate the fire.
Sarishabari Upazila Fire Service Station Officer Mizanur Rahman said the fire was brought under control after 30 minutes. The extent of the damage caused by the fire could not be ascertained.
