The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and Eslaska University in Egypt announced the reception of a new batch of the Governmental MBA Program, for 164 employees representing all ministries, some affiliated agencies and governorates.
Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the government’s MBA program comes based on the ministry’s direction to cover training programs for all Egyptian ministries and governorates, within the framework of expanding and generalizing benefit and providing cadres that meet the requirements of achieving comprehensive and balanced development that the government is working to implement in various fields. Egyptian sectors and regions, in a way that contributes to the state’s approach to local settlement of sustainable development goals.
Al-Saeed emphasized that the human element is the main and effective element in all development plans and is the most valuable resource of the state. Investment in human capital comes at the top of the state’s priorities with the aim of achieving comprehensive sustainable development.

Dr. Ali El-Meligy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ESLSCA Egypt, said that this program integrates with the comprehensive development processes that are currently taking place in all aspects of development, and its distinction comes due to its interest in the leading human component of the administrative body in Egypt, as it does not only aim to develop the knowledge and technical skills of the youth of the administrative body, including It allows them to assume leadership positions, but also works to change their thinking pattern from the concept of “public administration” to “managing government business,” so that this helps facilitate partnership between the government sector and the private sector on the one hand, and allows the state to achieve the best investment of its resources on the other hand. .
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Alaa, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Ministry of Planning and representative of the Ministry in the project; The Governmental MBA program depends on the method of targeted selectivity, where a single batch of 150 employees are selected from candidates who reach about a thousand candidates. Participants in the program are subject to a training and educational program for a period of four months, then the first ninety of them are selected to complete the following four months with an increase in the educational, training and language dose. Other students are allowed to complete their studies at their own expense, partially funded by the university.
The two parties have been keen to design the government business management program according to international standards, and that the program includes various academic, training and specialized practical axes, in addition to a main focus for developing the English language skill.
It is noteworthy that the cooperation between the Egyptian government and the University of Asselska began in 2015, and was crowned after the issuance of the President’s decision in 2018 approving the protocol for the establishment of “ASelska University Egypt” signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Higher School of Applied Commercial Sciences (ASELSKA – France).
