As traffic around the world begins to recover after lockdowns imposed earlier this year, London has become the world’s busiest city.
And the American transportation analytics company, Enrix, reported in a study that London recorded the worst levels of traffic out of a thousand cities in 50 countries.
Paris, Brussels, Moscow and New York are next in a list showing the cities you’ll most likely spend your time stuck in.
The study stated that while it became clear that traffic is starting to return to normal, movement in central cities continues to approach a return to pre-pandemic levels.
Overall, downtown trips are down 22% in the US and 19% in the UK, with many people continuing to work from home at least some of the time.
According to the study, transport traffic around the world is still lower in 2021 than 2019 levels, but its increase from last year reflects a strong economic recovery.
