Cairo – Masrawy:
The Jordan Football Association called on its Asian counterpart to open an investigation into the match that brought Al-Nashma women together with Iran in the qualifiers for the 2022 Asian Nations Cup in India.
According to an official statement published by Ali Al-Hussein, president of the Jordanian Federation, via his Twitter account, the Jordanian Federation demanded the necessity of opening an investigation to ascertain the gender of a number of Iranian players.
The Jordanian women’s team had failed to qualify for the Asian Nations Cup after losing on penalties to Iran, in a meeting that witnessed great brilliance for the winning team’s goalkeeper.
The Jordanian statement clarified that the Iranian women’s team has several precedents regarding the abuse of its players for doping, as well as the manipulation of gender and gender, which is a strong motive for opening the investigation.
The Jordanian Federation stressed the need for the investigation to be transparent and clear by a committee of independent medical experts, to verify the eligibility of the Iranian team goalkeeper and a number of other players.
