South African Pitso Mosimane, Al-Ahly coach, commented on his selection among the nominees for the award for the best coach in the world, presented by the International Federation for Football History and Statistics “IFFHS”.
Two days ago, the Federation announced a list of 24 coaches nominated for the award for the best coach in the world, including Pitso Mosimane, who led Al-Ahly to achieve several local and continental achievements.
Mosimane posted a tweet through his official account on the Twitter site, in which he said: “It is a great honor and honor to be nominated among a number of football geniuses of this generation.”
Al-Ahly coach concluded the tweet by saying: “Thank you to my team for the continuous support.”
It is noteworthy that Musimani took over Al-Ahly training in October 2020, succeeding Swiss Rene Weiler, and his contract with the “Red Genie” extends until the end of the current season.
The 57-year-old coach led Al-Ahly to win the Egyptian League, the Egyptian Cup and the African Super once, in addition to the African Champions League twice, and the bronze in the World Cup clubs.
